The short version
- Same temperature range (104°F to 410°F), same USB-C Supercharge to 80% in about 40 minutes, same two-year base warranty.
- The Venty heats in about 20 seconds, the Mighty+ in about 60; the Venty also adds adjustable airflow, Boost and Superboost, and a Bluetooth web app.
- The Mighty+ ships with more spares (three of each screen type, three seal rings and a dosing capsule) and a USB-C to USB-A cable; the Venty's cable is USB-C to USB-C.
- Pick the Mighty+ if you want the simpler device; pick the Venty if you want control over airflow and temperature from a phone.
The Mighty+ and the Venty are the two Storz & Bickel portables people most often weigh against each other, and the question is usually the same: is the Venty worth the step up, or is the Mighty+ the one to buy. The two share more than the spec sheets suggest (the same temperature range, the same USB-C Supercharge, the same two-year base warranty), so this comparison spends its time on what actually separates them: heat-up time, airflow, the app, the batteries and what comes in the box. Every figure here is from the product data for the units we stock.
What they share
Both are portable dry herb vaporizers with on-device temperature control from 104°F to 410°F (40°C to 210°C). Both charge over USB-C and both have the Supercharge function, which takes the battery to up to 80% in about 40 minutes. Both ship with spare screens and a cleaning brush, and both carry a two-year warranty from Storz & Bickel.
That shared ground matters because it means the choice is not about whether one gets hot enough or charges fast enough. It is about how quickly the device is ready, how much you want to adjust mid-session, and whether you want a phone involved at all. If you are still deciding whether a portable is the right shape of device, our portable vs desktop guide covers that first question.
Heat-up and heating: 60 seconds vs 20
The Mighty+ heats up in approximately 60 seconds, which is quicker than the original Mighty. Its chamber is ceramic coated, the upgrade Storz & Bickel highlights for even heating and clean flavor, and the housing was redesigned to stand more steadily when you set it down between draws.
The Venty reaches temperature in approximately 20 seconds. It uses what Storz & Bickel calls a convection and conduction mini-heater, a hybrid design, and it adds Boost and Superboost settings that raise the temperature during a session when you want denser output or a more complete finish. Our Mighty+ listing describes the chamber rather than naming a heating style, so we will not assign one to it here; if the convection and conduction distinction is new to you, conduction vs convection vaporizers explained walks through what each one changes.
In practice the 40-second difference is most noticeable if you take short, frequent sessions. If you load once and sit down for a while, a minute of heat-up is a small share of the session and the Mighty+ gives nothing up.
Both devices list the same ceiling of 410°F. The Venty's Boost and Superboost are steps you trigger during a session, not a higher maximum.
Airflow, Boost and the app
This is the section where the two really part ways. The Venty has adjustable airflow up to 20 liters per minute, so you can set a tighter pull or a more open draw to taste. The Mighty+ has no airflow adjustment listed; the draw is what it is.
The Venty also pairs over Bluetooth with the Storz & Bickel web app. From there you can change the Booster temperatures, the display brightness, the vibration setting and the ECO-charge mode, and the device still has full on-device controls for people who never open the app. The Mighty+ is controlled entirely on the device: the two orange buttons and the display.
The Venty's vapor path is a double-walled cooling unit designed for high airflow and a touch-proof exterior while it runs, with an extra screen inside for filtration. The cooling unit is a wear part, which is why the Venty's maintenance set is built around replacing it.
Battery and charging
The Venty runs on two 18650 lithium-ion batteries with a maximum power draw of 130W at 16 amps; that battery setup is what Storz & Bickel credits for the 20-second heat-up and the airflow. Our Mighty+ listing does not state the battery type or capacity, so we are not going to quote one. Neither listing gives a session count per charge, and we would rather not guess.
Charging is the same on paper: USB-C, with Supercharge to 80% in about 40 minutes. The one practical difference is the cable. The Mighty+ includes a USB-C to USB-A cable, which plugs into the older style of charger brick or a laptop's full-size port. The Venty includes a USB-C to USB-C cable, so it wants a USB-C charger or port. Check which you have before the first charge.
The Venty's web app has an ECO-charge setting. If the device spends most of its life on the charger, that is the one to look at first.
In the box, spares and warranty
The Mighty+ ships with three small normal screens, three small coarse screens, three base seal rings, a dosing capsule, a cleaning brush and the USB-C to USB-A cable. The Venty ships with two small normal screens, three small coarse screens, two cooling unit screens, two 9 by 1.5mm O-rings, a filling chamber tool, a cleaning brush and the USB-C to USB-C cable.
So the Mighty+ comes with more of the consumables and a dosing capsule to start with; the Venty comes with the parts its cooling unit needs. Either way you will eventually want spares, and the how to clean a dry herb vaporizer guide covers when screens and cooling units need swapping.
The Mighty+ has one accessory worth naming here: an official smell-proof hard shell case that fits the Mighty and the Mighty+, with compartments for capsules, screens and the cord. It is listed for those two models only.
Warranty: two years on the Mighty+; two years on the Venty, extendable to three years with registration. The rest of the Storz & Bickel line and its spares are in Storz & Bickel vaporizers and accessories.

Which one to buy
Buy the Mighty+ if you want a portable that you set a temperature on and forget. It has the ceramic-coated chamber, the same ceiling and the same charging as the Venty, it ships with more spares, and it has no app to manage. Most people who ask us about the pair and then describe one or two longer sessions a day end up here.
Buy the Venty if the 20-second heat-up matters to you, if you want to tune the draw with the airflow control, or if you like adjusting a device from your phone. It is also the one for people who already know they want Boost and Superboost in a session rather than setting a higher temperature up front.
The Venty's cable is USB-C to USB-C and the Mighty+'s is USB-C to USB-A. If your chargers are all one type, that is a small thing to sort out before the device arrives rather than after.
If you are choosing between these and something outside the Storz & Bickel line, the full range of dry herb vaporizers is the place to compare against the PAX Four, the Arizer Go SRT and the rest.
Questions people ask
Is the Venty just a faster Mighty+?
No. The speed is the headline, about 20 seconds against about 60, but the Venty also has adjustable airflow up to 20 liters per minute, Boost and Superboost settings, Bluetooth web app control and a double-walled cooling unit. The Mighty+ is the plainer device with a ceramic-coated chamber.
Do the Mighty+ and the Venty use the same temperature range?
Yes. Both run from 104°F to 410°F (40°C to 210°C), set on the device. The Venty adds Boost and Superboost steps on top of that, and lets you adjust the Booster temperatures in the web app.
Which one charges faster?
They are listed the same: USB-C with a Supercharge function that reaches up to 80% in about 40 minutes. The difference is the cable in the box, USB-C to USB-A with the Mighty+ and USB-C to USB-C with the Venty.
Does the Mighty+ Case fit the Venty?
The case is listed for the Mighty and the Mighty+ only. The Venty has its own Wear and Tear Set with a replacement cooling unit, mouthpieces, screens and chamber tools.
What does the warranty cover on each?
Both carry a two-year warranty. The Venty's can be extended to three years by registering the device. The details are on each product page.
