This single flame features an angled torch, a large flame adjuster and a large fuel window, as well as a fold-out cigar punch on its base. It has an all-metal housing and is available in four color options: black crackle and gunmetal, blue and gunmetal, woodgrain and gunmetal, and the gray and gunmetal combination pictured above, which Rosemary Sharp, president of Lotus Group, told me was her favorite as it looks like the ceramic gray color that has become popular on cars.
Why is an angled torch flame better?
An angled torch nozzle directs the flame toward your cigar at a natural 45-degree angle. This keeps your fingers farther from the heat source and allows you to clearly watch the foot of the cigar as it toasts.
How do I access the built-in cigar punch?
The circular punch blade is folded flush into the base of the lighter. Simply swing the tool outward using your thumbnail, press it into your cigar cap, and snap it back flat when finished.
How do I check the fuel level?
The Recoil features a large clear view window on the body. Hold the lighter toward a light source to verify the remaining liquid butane level inside the reservoir.
What butane should I use to refill the Vertigo Recoil?
Always use high-purity, triple-refined (or higher) butane gas to ensure clean ignition and keep the precision torch jet nozzle free of residue buildup.
