How to Operate & Refill S.T. Dupont Défi Extrême Lighter

1. Ignite Flame: Squeeze the chrome side trigger firmly inward to open the fuel valve and trigger the piezo ignition, unleashing the powerful blue torch flame.

2. Purge Before Refilling: Turn the lighter upside down. Depress the base gas valve completely with a small screwdriver or purge tool to vent trapped air and pressure.

3. Refill Gas: Invert the official S.T. Dupont Red Gas Canister (REF 000436 / 900436) and press the valve nozzle vertically into the base inlet for 3 to 5 seconds.

4. Equalize: Wait 3 to 5 minutes at room temperature before lighting to allow fuel temperature and internal pressure to stabilize.
